The simplest way to ditch your first toxic item… and cheapest!
THIS… was the very first swap I ever made on my natural journey—talk about a game changer! I was so over lugging those massive jugs of laundry detergent, watching my dollars disappear each month, and feeling guilty about all that plastic ending up in landfills.

Then, I stumbled upon this fantastic recipe, and whoa, did it turn things around! Not only did it lighten my load (pun intended), but it also opened my eyes to a whole new world of detoxing my home and creating a healthier environment for my family.

Who knew doing laundry could be such a bright spot?

Here’s WHY the store bought ones need to go…..

Laundry detergents often contain a variety of chemicals and synthetic fragrances that can be harsh on your skin, irritate allergies, and even impact the environment negatively. Ingredients like phosphates, sulfates, parabens, and artificial dyes can leave residues on fabrics, potentially leading to skin sensitivities or reactions, especially for individuals with delicate skin or certain health conditions.

Stay tuned for a tried and true recipe…

Making your own laundry detergent is a wonderful way to ensure that you know exactly what's going into your wash. This can help avoid unwanted chemicals and allergens, and it's often a more eco-friendly and cost-effective option. By using natural ingredients, you can create a gentle, effective detergent that leaves your clothes fresh without any harsh additives.
Creating your own detergent not only supports a more holistic lifestyle but also aligns with sustainable living practices, benefiting both your home and the planet.

Here’s the best recipe….

Homemade Liquid Laundry Soap
Ingredients:
4  Cups - hot tap water
1  Fels-Naptha soap bar
1 Cup - Arm & Hammer Super Washing Soda
½ Cup Borax
OR

Directions:
+ Grate bar of soap and add to saucepan with water. Stir continually over medium-low heat until soap dissolves and is melted.
+ Fill a 5 gallon bucket half full of hot tap water.
+ Add melted soap, washing soda and Borax. Stir well until all powder is dissolved.
+ Fill bucket to top with more hot water.
+ Stir, cover and let sit overnight to thicken.  (I fill mine in the bathtub and leave it overnight.)
+ Stir and fill a used, clean, laundry soap dispenser half full with soap and then fill rest of way with water.
+ Shake before each use. (The laundry soap will gel)

Optional: You can add 10-15 drops of essential oil per 2 gallons.
Add EOs once soap has cooled. Great laundry ideas: lavender, rosemary, tea tree oil, purification, thieves.
